Why Less Can Be More in Real Estate Marketing

Even minor elements of the design of marketing for realtors seeking buyers and sellers can have an impact on how people react to it. People may have formed their perception of an agent well before they get in contact with them, based on the agent’s Instagram page, listing images, flyer materials, video content, or website. This is the reason why elegant marketing is so vital for a real estate agent.

One of the most common mistakes in social media posts is having too many words on them. Having an abundance of information on one page may make people lose interest in your promotion before they comprehend its purpose. In real estate business, the property should become the core of your marketing efforts. One powerful picture can convey a great deal in the field of real estate marketing.

Some of the design elements I think matter most are:

  • High-quality photos and videos
  • Clean, easy-to-read fonts
  • Simple layouts
  • Good spacing
  • Consistent branding
  • Limited text

Whenever possible, I try to create video content instead of static posts. Just by looking at a two-minute video, a person will be able to figure out the layout, finishes, lighting, view and the general mood of the property.

Finally, it is the visual representation of the agent’s professionalism. If the content looks amateurish, it may cause potential buyers and sellers to form the wrong opinion about the agent.

When it comes to real estate marketing, less is often better. Great design should draw focus towards the property, not distract from it. These small things might seem insignificant, but they add up to make an overall impression of your brand. And in such a competitive world, that impression really matters.
